America’s Story is an insightful example of Universal Truth 11, and even more specifically, the Story of its most power-wielding citizenry, those most dominant since the very beginning.
This post highlights the Story they shaped to fit the life they wanted...a Story essentially at odds with Reality...and how their Story then also shaped America’s Story...thusly making it more vulnerable to Reality.

Digital Robber Barons
POSITIVEs
Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Marc Adreessen, Sergey Brin, Larry Page, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, Peter Thiel, and Elon Musk are not an exhaustive list of all the innovative men who created value-add enterprise through the pre-AI digital dawn...a period that manifest unprecedented global connectivity-efficiency, info access-distribution, and new transformative communication-commerce business models.
NEGATIVEs
All tech titans also created new seriously impactful challenges like: the digital divide, privacy-security threats, workforce disruption, and concentrated power within a mere few large firms.
These threats are nowhere near resolved for the actual greater good...yet.
Industrial Robber Barons
POSITIVEs
Carnegie, Mellon, Rockefeller, Morgan, Vanderbilt, Astor, Gould, and Crocker...also not an exhaustive list...fundamentally transformed our economy from agricultural to industrial, and created mass production, urbanization, new social classes, increased global trade, and improved living standards for many through more affordable goods-new opportunities.
NEGATIVEs
In turn, the aggregate impact of mechanization across so many industries, and simultaneously, led to extreme environmental pollution, biodiversity losses, even extinction, plus unsustainable wealth disparities which required labor reforms due to harsh working conditions-low wages.
Have these threats actually been resolved for the greater good? Maybe in America? but definitely not for those off-shore folks...we outsource production to...who supply us all the goods we desire.
Founding Fathers
POSITIVEs
George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, James Madison, Benjamin Franklin, and Alexander Hamilton definitely did do something profoundly good by showing the entire non-indigenous global population that there can be something different than a king. Yes!
What they said and what they wrote was operationally doable, ontologically visionary, and emotionally inspiring...that all people are created equal and that we should all be Free to live by the Stories we want. There was really nothing like that at the time. Wow!
But...saying-writing these words is vastly different from doing-enacting them.
And we all know we pay more attention to what people do than say.
NEGATIVEs
By the time of the Constitution’s publishing...
George Washington, owned over 100 slaves and any of the children born to them. Additionally, he had been accused several times of mistreating women, including allegations of sexual exploitation and the abuse of enslaved women under his control. On his deathbed he reneged on his promise to free them and, as an aside, records indicate he lost more battles than he won.
James Madison owned over 100 slaves, used enslaved labor in the White House, and sold enslaved individuals to pay off debts. He also chose not to free any of his 36 taxable slaves upon his death.
Thomas Jefferson, considered one if not the main Founding Father, owned 10,000 acres inherited from his father and father-in-law. Note, Native Americans didn't practice owning land...they saw it as rightfully belonging to everyone...too precious to be privately owned...cordoned off from the experience of everyone...as in their eyes the Earth was either the Great Creator or created by the Great Creator. But for non-indigenous societies anywhere on the planet, owning land was the primary path toward wealth building...and up until very recently with the dawn of the Digital Age...it still is.
Jefferson also owned 600 enslaved people over his lifetime, the most of any U.S. president. At any given time, approx 165 - 225 people were enslaved at his properties. He did not pay them because he did not consider them equal...therefore they had no claim to freedom. He explicitly defined them, in Our Constitution, as only 3/5th's of a white person. For him, stolen African people did not possess enough human agency to be free...which fit his Story regarding how he wanted to live...perfectly:
“My intellect and daring, with the wealth and power to validate it, allows me to own slaves toward continuing to realize my epic vision of equality...the one I’ve clearly outlined in our nation’s founding document...for all to absorb...abide by. Those rules don’t exactly apply to me just now...because my idea is so sweeping, genius, and transformative for all people everywhere to benefit from (wink). Given the impact and scale of my profound contribution, I’m allowed to live a little differently (wink).”
Jefferson also had sex whenever he desired with his slave Sally Hemmings who bore him 6 children. His relationship with her and their offspring were kept a tight secret until very recently.
Jefferson died with debts of over $100,000 equivalent to $3,272,484.85 today. The debt was a result of his lavish spending on Monticello and his unprofitable plantation system. His grandson, Thomas Jefferson Randolph, assumed the remaining debts, that were not fully paid off for 50 years after his death.

Hoodwink Story Theme: Superiority
The power-wielding class of American Society has always exhibited a steady pattern of willful exploitation-entitlement...and have always lived to a Story of Superiority.
The Founding Fathers set up Our America the Beautiful as a disingenuous endeavor due to their viscerally-innate default to exploit...in order to live the lifestyle they desired. So their disingenuity, lack of integrity, has continued to permeate the American Story from its inception through to today.
Reality Fact: Equality
Black Americans are not inferior to White Americans. It’s a Biological and Psychological fact.
Unexploited Opportunity/that Doesn’t Fit Their Story: Project 1619/Nikole Hannah-Jones is a phenomenal tour de force for helping us transform this cancerous DNA condition, but of course this cage-rattling curriculum that could present-persuade us of our pattern recognition has never been allowed to be effectively socialized-enculturated into our nation’s robust split personality. MAGA, the Supreme Court, and Rich Christian-Nationalists are making sure it doesn’t see the light of day. They want the existing pattern to continue in perpetuity.

Digging a little deeper into the Shared Story of the Digital & Industrial robber barons shows us how their dominance has shaped our American Story even more than we realize.
Little by little we have allowed more-more to reshape our Story towards theirs...such that the majority of U.S. are pretty cool with monumental ambition at any cost.
And in Reality, when you don’t sustain tension between 2 opposing forces...the rope droops. The dynamic fundamentally changes. So then what? The stronger force subsumes the weaker force as a matter of physics...Reality.
SIMILARITIES
Rockefeller, Carnegie, Mellon, Morgan, Vanderbilt, etc. retained almost the same drastic disparity of wealth vs all other typical Americans during the Gilded Age/Industrial Revolution. Both periods feature extreme economic inequality, the rise of powerful corporations, and political corruption fueled by money. Both eras are marked by rapid technological innovation that led to a concentration of wealth among a small elite.
The publishing of the Constitution/1787 launching us all as created equal and the start of the Gilded Age/1870-90s is less than 90 years apart. Wow.
DIFFERENCES
So how are the Digital Revolution robber barons different from the Industrial ones?
a. the wealth disparity between the modern tech robber barons vs typical Americans is even more absurd...the concentration of wealth is held by even less.
Gilded Age
1% vs 99% = 38,500-76,200 people out of 38-76 million
Digital Age
0.01% vs 99.09% = 33,000 people out of 330 million
We’re getting closer to king-like...with only about 120 years in between. How does this trend look in just 25-50 more years?
b. the rich back then kept the pitchforks at bay by giving back. The Industrial Revolution robber barons built institutions across every sector for the public good.
But as our society has evolved...We the People no longer demand they do that. Some of that is because...unlike way back then...so many more of us readily fork over our money to them. The rich, since the 1970s, have successfully lured almost all of us into the market such that our wealth is tied to their wealth. If they do good...so do we...but drastically disproportionately.

Reality: Anything worth having requires some sacrifice
Commensurate taxes on the Rich are fundamental to a healthy, functioning Democracy. When the top 1% of Americans own 50% of all stocks and mutual funds in the U.S. and pay only ?? in taxes...transformation to a feudal state is near.

The reason you/me are experiencing this drastic wealth disparity for the first time is all due to FDR. He saved us from the Gilded Age robber barons. Everything that 'made you, me & ALL of us great' is due to him and Francis Perkins: higher taxes on the robber barons, minimum wage, 40hr work week, social security, medicare, children below 18 cannot be forced to work...none of which existed before him/her. Reagan dismantled everything FDR did...appealing to the rich that what FDR did was Socialism, not Capitalism. He cut services off from the welfare queens and he cut the corporate tax rate from 70% to 28% making the middle class pay more taxes and effectively launched the stoking of the new class of robber barons we suffer from today. Trump, since 2016, has reduced their taxes even more.

Throughout history, all ages of robber barons have selected only the parts of the Capitalist-Democracy Story they like...the parts that serve the way they want to live.
Adam Smith is the original author of our American Economic Story.
He believed that individuals pursuing their own economic self-interest was good, and that they will be led by an invisible hand, thereby promoting the good of society, unintentionally :0
This sounds flat-out voodoo woowoo...by a man who is clearly bending the moral arc toward shielding-protecting all of his and his mates desires.
Yet Smith’s concept of the invisible hand is still what regulates the entire 21st Century global economy...still to this day...because no one has challenged this absurd idea for 250 years.
And it’s easy to see that the self-interest part is still extremely robust...but not the good of society part.

Know that many economists in Smith’s day fiercely opposed his views on the self-interest emphasis because it ignored morality and social well-being, fearing it would promote inequality and societal harm, as well as his views on colonialism.
But there were far more who loved the sound of his Story because it was basically like the Story they would have made up to get what they want.
Know also that there are many economists plus experts in many others fields today that find our current capitalistic economic system...that we’ve forced upon the entire globe, for centuries now...absolutely ridiculous...because it is.
Indeed, the headlines featured at the beginning of this piece prove that...with TJ as their aristocratic precedent. Not to mention, they are also still having sex with whomever they want...just like him. (Epstein Island hosted statesmen like: Bill Gates, Prince Andrew, Trump, Musk, Bill Clinton...)
In contrast...many of us typical Americans have remained focused on what TJ said.

to live Our Lives by.
Their Story makes both of us rich...but we abdicate a lot of Our Own Story in the process. And the only way to get Our Own Story back is for the majority of us to fully divest from all bad Stories.
In Capitalism, the Capitalists retain the controlling interest because they fund production...of all the goods-services in the market...and the primary goal of the model is their PROFIT. Nothing else...ever since Milton Friedman in the 1970s...who convinced corporates not to prioritize their employees but, instead, prioritize their shareholders. This is as selfish an idea as Smith’s 100 years earlier. Layer after layer...very selfish ideas...ideas that are total anathema to the Nature we emerge out of...have been put forth by men. These ideas tend to appeal to the men that are already in charge of everything.
Not to mention, the 1886 Supreme Court (all men) ruled to recognize corporations as legal persons...hmmmm. Or the 2010 Supreme Court reversal of limiting campaign contributions, such that corporations can give multi-millions to any candidate they choose...4 male justices for vs 1 male-2 female justices against.
Is difficult to imagine any American Citizen cannot detect these HOODWINK Stories by this point. Until they are recognized our current scary fate will continue.
Let me go further, to be crystal. In our Capitalistic Society, if your business is public...listed on the stock market...the expectation that your fiduciary responsibility to increase your profits, even if it hurts people or the planet...is still debatable. Again, depending on which part of the American Economic Story you believe in most. The majority go with profit at all costs, as it is assumed the most important element to make Americans lives good is more money.
So at this point all Americans invested in the stock market are basically robber barons.
The robber barons Hoodwink Stories have worked perfectly...for them.

As a result of our Founding Fathers’ ways, some of us took their sayings-writings to heart...as the main part of the Story to believe in...align our lives with. While others of us interpreted what they actually did as the bellwether. And it is these diametrically opposed expressions...imbued with conflicting sentiment...one written vs one embodied-enacted...that is almost wholly responsible for the Civil War, the Gilded Age, and where we are now.
There has never been any fully socialized acknowledgement of this foundational contradiction within the American Story...for all of us Americans to see-hear-absorb...and yet somehow we’re all implicitly aware of it. Plus, this lack of accounting-reckoning has held us back...it’s kept a nation based around equity and unity neither of those.
As unity is actually part of our name...so we say it but our embodiment of it is hit-miss.
At least...hey, we messed up and we know it. We are re-committed to doing better...doing what we say. NO. There has never been anything like that.
So everyone is left to choose...to live by their saying (Democrats) or their doing (MAGA-Republicans). It is maybe the most singular thing that has kept us so much smaller than we should be...especially now that it’s the 21st century...with the proof of this imposture in the White House right now.
I would say our most celebrated Founding Father actually engaged in the original big lie...and how ironic that the second big lie 250 years later might wipe U.S. out? Not to mention...TJ and him are very alike...on paper and at the scale in which they lived. Please consider this. Sure they are different regarding their education level and stylistics...but their aggrandized-exploitative default...their sense of entitlement...is exactly the same.
Until we recognize this and name it...we will continue in it. Our collective psychosis can only be cured when all of us finally become fully conscious of what has been hidden-suppressed. And the whole process must include both the full cycle of fiery anger to redeeming forgiveness of the Founding Fathers and ourselves.
Conclusion
ALL TO SAY...America has always operated as an exploitative power dynamic...always...by definition...by DNA...seeded by male hoodwink Stories for whatever it was they wanted at the time.
And these men have always been, exclusively, our society’s institutional authors and, up until recently, exclusively, in charge of every systemic aspect of our American Society...
therefore all of our systems are devised
through the Stories they believe in...
which have always included speculative and unethical practices. This may change but it is a fact that for our first 250 years only men have held the decision-making power and
their decisions have really narrowed the scope of Our Shared Story into one many of us do not recognize any more.
Most times readers assume the statement above is an attack on men. Read it again. It states: in America, the repeated utilization of an Exploitative Power Dynamic has been wielded by exclusively Men at the helm to shape all of our Societal Systems to get what they wanted/want since the original Founding Fathers...a span of 250 years...and this Status Quo Assumption of Superiority now defines the character of our country, at least partially...both for all its Citizens to embody and all the members of the global society we are a part of, to observe.
Notice I left out how the first of us Americans slaughtered almost all the Native People, who arrived on the North American continent 15-30,000 years ago, plus we slaughtered almost all the buffalo, who grazed upon the fields since 135-195,000 years ago...those fields, of course, we snatched for our own...given the Native Americans left it be shared by all.
We descend from truly violent, ruthless, selfish ancestors...that took whatever they wanted and told a Story to justify it...
just like Zuckerberg, Musk, Bezos, Trump, Epstein, more...are still doing. Duh.
Maybe we gained a smidgeon of redemption by destroying the Nazi’s in WWII but if you consider the vast scope of our self-serving intrusions-extractions-executions-annihilations...1619...NOT.
So it shouldn’t be surprising that so many of us have come to allow ourselves to be bought by their Story. We have allowed, after 100s of years of their plying, their violent, ruthless, selfish robber baron’s Story to displace Our Original Story...which was about the health of a very multi-dimensional Humanity...not just about money-power.
Our Original Story that was about assuring relative population equity which is the fulcrum for assuring freedom for ALL.
The one FDR had to magnanimously reset after the Great Collapse WE CAUSED WORLDWIDE.
Mamdani is trying now to bring this Original Story back into popularity...because he's clear the interpretation that most current Capitalists are gleaning from our 250 year old Capitalistic-Democracy Story can no longer support Our Original Story. He’s trying to show-persuade us of that. He’s trying to educate us on another model called Socialism. As a historical referential, the key tax rates affecting the wealthy before FDR's New Deal were established following the ratification of the 16th Amendment in 1913, which established the federal income tax. So imagine that from 1787 to 1913, there was no federal tax! That’s 126 years out of 250...50% of our entire existence. Wow.

Note also that...as a collective society...all the Stories Americans abide by have been told, exclusively, by men. Not only, but only white men. I only gave a few examples in this piece...trust me, every Story has originated in their brains, and their brains ONLY. Zuck’s and Cook’s AR Glasses are BOTH PHYSICAL AND METAPHORICAL. Some day we will ALL LAUGH.
So given this, a 2nd Universal Truth that’s manifested in the hearts-minds of all Americans everyday:

My Story helps me live-tolerate-survive in a healthy-happy-moral-purpose filled manner.
It is the Truth of the American Story for me...as we ALL simply curate the facts to support what we already intuitively believe.
Everything I put forth above is a fact.
In these facts I discern patterns...which provoke my thinking toward instantiating my beliefs. Something we all must do, now more than ever before.
What I have learned from thinking about this confluence of facts plus subjectivities more-more...is that I have so much respect and reverence for Reality-Nature. And I refuse to be insulted by merely adopting a White Male Hoodwink Story as my own...just because that’s so much easier to do :0 FCK
It is beyond clear to see that everyone of those white male gaze Stories only makes sense for 50% or less, of the time, place, or people it’s about...that most of these hoodwink Stories are extremely subjective and confirm the bias of their authors’ particular interests-needs.
Therefore, if this is the 3rd Universal Truth...
“America exhibits a pattern of willful exploitation perpetrated, exclusively, through the white male gaze...over & over again...unchecked-unchanged.”
Might this be the 4th?
“You can’t really do anything about something you don’t see-recognize-realize.
And if you can do that plus NAME it...a new world of possibilities opens up for you to consider.”
As men are innately incapable of actually giving birth, a lurking suspicion of mine is that they feel far more vulnerable, or kinda left out, overall, than women innately do. Because with this assymertry also comes less connection to the reality of cyclical Nature…by definition. This more untethered detachment ignites anxieties which then spark their imagination-storytelling-creation mode to compensate for the mystery they cannot still fully explain nor do they possess. This vulnerability coupled with their specific endocrinology assists-activates their audacious thinking predisposition of Big Thoughts. Arrogance is more natural to those who are more Ignorant. Men are fundamentally more ignorant about the world by virtue of their sex. Please see-absorb this! Women possess the same mystery of Nature than they do. Someday IT MIGHT not be a mystery…but realize that day is VERY FAR AWAY!
Sort of Insecurity + Testosterone = Go for It…what do I have to lose? It’s me or the bear…f*ck it.
Men default to a FEAR-BASED EXISTENCE because they cannot PRODUCE NEW LIFE! Please sit with this because it makes TOTAL SENSE.
Without being tied to cyclical menstrual period, breast feeding or baby tending-child-rearing they are incredibly FREE to IMAGINE MOST ANYTHING.

But we keep progressing technologically, not socially, due to allowing for dominant archetypes to enact their ambition at any cost because the STORIES WE TELL allow for them to be in charge.
One could say…all the horrible things that any of these men did can be overlooked because what they accomplished is all worth the it…all the abused-dead people and the Earth’s destruction is a pittance for what we gained.
Or one might say…it is horrible what they did but we can do nothing about any of that now.
Or we could say
I’m gonna say the Stories these men shape for themselves...to live by...do not at all align with the Story of Reality...so we will all suffer, if we’re not already, and the Earth will burn because we’re allowing them to keep telling them. We must get in front of these Stories with a better Story and demand they must adapt their Stories to Our’s...WITHIN.
